1965 CADILLAC CONVERTIBLE, LOW MILEAGE, RUST FREE ARIZONA CAR!
Rare and very sought after car, 1965 Cadillac convertible ordered in a rare Gunmetal Grey metallic with black leather interior and black top, very rare color combination.
Except for one repaint it is totally original and very nice.
Recently bought from Hagerty Insurance after the previous owner insisted they buy him out due to "vandalism". The only thing vandalized on the car is a small dent on the left door, see my pictures. But since an Insurance co owned the Cadillac it has an Arizona Salvage title.
The bad:
The paint is not excellent
The dash pad has some cracks
The convertible top is probably original since 1965, it is still in good condition but it has shrunk a little and the conv top frame shows above the door glass.
The good:
The Cadillac has an excellent body, rust free and dry, the best original chrome I have ever seen on an old Cadillac, inside and out. Virtually like new and that includes the side trim also.
It was also ordered with unusually many options:
P-windows
P-seat
P-vent windows
P-trunk opening and closing
P-antenna
P-door locks
P-conv top
A/C
Twilight Sentinel
Headlight dimmer
Tilt and telescope steering wheel
Tinted glass etc
And EVERYTHING works except one vent window and the vacuum hoses for the PDL are broken off in the door jam so the P-door locks don't work.
The A/C blows cold
The odometer shows 47.000 miles, believed to be correct but we can't know for sure.
Drive and use it as is or repaint the car, replace a little rubber and you'll have one of the best 1965 Cadillac convertibles around.
