SUPER RARE 1958 DESOTO ADVENTURER COUPE, 350 MADE!
The real DeSoto Adventurers were built only 4 years, 1956 to 1959.
After 1995 the Adventurer name was just a cosmetic upgrade. But during 1956-59 the DeSoto stood for 2x4 bbl carburation, high performance engine and stiffer suspension, 150 mph speedometer plus different interiors than the standard DeSoto and very low production.
They were all low volume cars but in 1958 they made the fewest of all years with 82 convertibles made and 350 2drht!
The Holy Grail for a 50's Mopar lower and I doubt another one will be available for years to come.
This car has had the same owner for 40 years and it is in very good original condition. It has been parked indoors for decades in Southern California and it was just offered for sale due to the owner's health problems.
The car is 100% complete including the 1958 Adventurer only hubcaps, the dual 4 bbl carburetors with air cleaners, stainless stripes on the deck lid and of course the special interior.
It is loaded with power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seats, signal seeking 7 button radio etc...
There's original cloth included in case the next owner wants to redo the seats.
The car is so original and rare that it could (and should?) be treated to a light cosmetic restoration, brake rebuild etc and used as is.
The 1958 Adventurer Coupes almost never come up for sale, there has been a rough and rusted one for sale on and off but except for it, it has been many years since one was available anywhere.
The DeSoto comes with a California title.
